Known worldwide as a breeding ground for elite fighters, Tristar has produced legends like Georges St-Pierre, Aiemann Zahabi, and Rory MacDonald.
A Life-Changing Experience at Tristar
Thanks to the network of Fight IQ’s head coach Donovan, Barry had the rare opportunity to train in this world-class facility while preparing for his next fight. His training partners? None other than UFC fighters Aiemann Zahabi, Rob Font, and Calvin Kattar.
“The level at Tristar was insane,” Barry said. “Training with these high-level fighters forced me to step up my game instantly. I had to be sharp and focused every second.”
But it wasn’t just the sparring that elevated Barry’s game. He also got direct coaching from one of the most respected minds in MMA—Firas Zahabi. The techniques, strategies, and mindset lessons he gained are already shaping his evolution as a fighter—and as a coach.
From Canada Back to Amsterdam—Knowledge Shared
Barry isn’t keeping this knowledge to himself. He’s bringing everything he learned back to Fight IQ, your go-to MMA gym in Amsterdam. Not only will this influence his own journey, but Barry is also using these insights to train the next generation of martial artists in our MMA Kids classes.
