March 31, 2026 — Top 10 for the week of March 29

Sunday afternoon on Long Island saw a girls’ lacrosse game which is the closest thing the Empire State could stage as a Tournament of Champions. In the game, defending CHSAA champion South Huntington St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), defeated Victor (N.Y.), the four-time NYSPHSAA Class B state champion, by a score of 13-2. This keeps our No. 1 team in its place, but there are a number of changes afoot in upcoming weeks because of some mouth-watering games in the leadup to the Gains for Brains Showcase next month.

There are a couple of teams you need to keep an eye on. Tredyffrin Conestoga (Pa.) is playing fearless lacrosse and have a number of big-time victories in Southeastern Pensylvania thus far.

Another side to watch is Alexandria St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (Va.). The Saints are not averse to playing interstate games, and will have a pair of interesting tests at this year’s Spring Fling, as they will take on Chantilly Paul VI (Va.) and Wilmette Loyola Academy (Ill.).

1. South Huntington St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 2-0
The Friars have conceded exactly four goals this season; host Penfield (N.Y.) Central tomorrow

The Phantoms travel to Eastpoint-South Manor (N.Y.) before taking a week and a half break
8. Newtown Square Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 6-1
The Churchwomen swept out-of-conference games against Summit Oak Knoll (Pa.), Radnor Archbishop Carroll (Pa.), and Bethesda Stone Ridge (Md.); the team next takes to the pitch April 10th at Rutgers University to meet Greenwich Sacred Heart (Conn.)
9. Garden City (N.Y.) 3-0

10. Alexandria St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (Va.) 7-0
The Saints swept road games at Orlando Lake Highland Prep (Fla.) and Boca Raton St. Andrew’s (Fla.); head coach Kathy Jenkins now stands at 895 wins entering today’s game at Bethesda Holton-Arms (Md.)

Who’s out: Victor (N.Y.) 6-5 loss to Sayville (N.Y.) and 13-2 loss to South Huntington St. Anthony (N.Y.); Greenwich Sacred Heart (Conn.) 11-3 loss to Philadelphia Penn Charter (Pa.)
