BERLIN (GER): World marathon silver medallist Amanal Petros is looking to target his German marathon record of 2:04:03 in the London Marathon on 26 April, informs Leichtathletik.de. “In London, I’m hoping for more pleasant weather. It’s late April, so it can’t be as cold as it was now in Berlin. I want to attack my German record in London – I always take it one step at a time. The course isn’t as fast as the one in Berlin, though. But the field is outstanding, certainly stronger than any other marathon this year. I want to try to be among the frontrunners in London as well,” he said. Petros finished third in the Berlin Half Marathon on Sunday in a national record of 59:22.
