Tournaments like IPL require batters to be quick in their quest to score the big knocks. Thus, they are always in a hurry to score as many runs as possible off a few balls.

Some manage to put up a fine display of batting and bring up hundreds in the quickest manner possible. But a few consume too many balls, as the match situation dominates over them.

Key Insights – Slowest 100s in IPL History

The slowest century in IPL belongs to Manish Pandey and Virat Kohli. Both reached the triple-digit figures in 67 balls while playing for RCB. Interestingly, Pandey was the first Indian centurion in the tournament.

Though Virat Kohli has eight IPL centuries to his name, the most by a batter in the league, four of those have come in 60 or more balls.

Both the fastest and slowest IPL centuries came from RCB players.
