Tommy Dreamer believes Vince McMahon would receive a huge reaction from fans if he returns at WWE WrestleMania 42.
This past Monday’s RAW featured the return of a McMahon to WWE TV. Stephanie McMahon interrupted Cody Rhodes just as The American Nightmare was about to address his feud with Randy Orton.
Both revisited The Viper’s diabolical history, including Rhodes’ own allegiance to his former mentor during The Legacy days. Stephanie even brought Dusty Rhodes into the feud before Cody referenced Vince McMahon. Things got a bit tense after the former WWE co-CEO slapped the reigning champion.
Many fans are now speculating that Stephanie McMahon’s appearance on RAW, along with Cody mentioning Vince, has opened the door for a potential WrestleMania return. Vince is currently involved in a , but Tommy Dreamer commented on the speculation during Busted Open Radio: After Dark.
Tommy Dreamer predicts crowd reaction to Vince McMahon’s potential WWE WrestleMania 42 appearance
Dreamer said that if Vince McMahon were to appear at WrestleMania, the reaction from fans would be massive and unpredictable. He believes the crowd would respond differently depending on how Vince is involved in the match outcome.
“If Vince McMahon returned at WrestleMania, if Vince McMahon returned to the WWE, what would his reception be? I think if he returns at WrestleMania, he will get an insane reaction. And if he helps Randy win, the place will cheer. If he helps Cody win — and please remember, Cody was Vince McMahon’s handpicked person when Cody returned to the WWE when he fought Seth Rollins — and I think they’ll boo him.”
The Hardcore Legend also emphasized that an RKO victory for Orton could create one of the loudest crowd reactions in WrestleMania history, but regardless of the outcome, Vince’s appearance alone would generate an explosive response from the WWE Universe.
“But I also don’t think it’ll be boos of heat. I think they’re just gonna boo because fans wanna see a change right now at the top with Cody. I think Randy going over with the RKO will be one of the biggest pops in WWE history. But I do think the WWE Universe will go nuts if Vince McMahon walks that aisle one more time, especially at WrestleMania.”
