Overall, I would characterize the Toroline Tour Overgrip as a reliable but rather polarizing grip after using it for a while.
When wrapping it, the first thing that comes to mind is how strong and elastic the cloth feels. Its fabric is obviously stretchy, which makes it easy to fit. In order to make the grip comfortable and playable, Toroline actually used a soft, sticky, and elastic fabric.
Tech & Specs
Type: Tacky tennis overgrip
Available Colours: Mint Green (High Tack), Neon Pink (Mid Tack)
Pack Options: 3-pack or 15-roll pack
Surface: Smooth, tacky and absorbent texture
Feel and Thickness
The Toroline Tour Overgrip feels a little thicker in the hand than many other overgrips available. That will likely be appreciated by certain players because it makes the handle seem more substantial.
Although it doesn’t feel as thin or minimalist as something like Yonex Super Grap or Tourna, I personally found it to be secure and robust.
Additionally, the grip has exceptional flexibility, making it simple to wrap evenly and tightly. It feels very sturdy once placed and doesn’t appear to deteriorate too quickly.
Tack and Performance
It falls midway in the middle when it comes to tackiness. The surface is absorbing and feels smooth with a good amount of tack (early on).
I wouldn’t say it is much superior to other high-end overgrips, but grip stability throughout play was good, it never felt slick.
Colours
Toroline did a fantastic job with the colour choices. The neon pink and mint green versions go well with some of the brand’s string colours and are quite entertaining. These are particularly noteworthy if you like matching your grip to your strings or racquet cosmetics.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Robust and durable feel compared to many overgrips
- Very stretchy, making it easy to wrap cleanly on the handle
- Slightly thicker build provides a comfortable, secure hold
- Decent tack and grip stability during play
- Fun colour options like mint green and neon pink
Cons
- Feels thicker than many popular overgrips, which not everyone will like
- Tack level is good but not exceptional compared to top grips
- Doesn’t stand out enough to replace some of the best-known overgrips
- Players who prefer thin grips may find it a little bulky
Comparable overgrips
To put the Toroline Tour Overgrip into context, it’s useful to compare it with a few well-known overgrips that many players already use:
- Wilson Pro Overgrip – Softer and thinner; Toroline feels thicker and more robust.
- Yonex Super Grap – Firmer and more traditional; Toroline feels stretchier and slightly bulkier.
- Head Prime Tour – More cushioned; Toroline feels firmer with more elasticity.
- Gamma Supreme Overgrip – Similar tack but thinner; Toroline feels thicker and more durable.
- Tourna Mega Tac – Much stickier; Toroline has moderate tack with a thicker feel.
Overall Impression
Overall, I think these overgrips are well-made, but I’m not sure if I would consider them to be among my top picks.
They are sturdy, stretchy and a little thicker than many overgrips which some players will appreciate. In my opinion, they were sturdy but not particularly noteworthy enough to take the place of the grips I usually use.
Nevertheless, the Toroline Tour Overgrip is still worth trying if you’re looking for something sturdy, simple to wrap, and available in vibrant colors.
