TNA iMPACT Results (4/2/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt handled commentary.

Mike Santana came out to address the TNA crowd and talked about beating one of the toughest names in TNA, Steve Maclin, saying he “dropped him.” Santana said he promised to walk out of Sacrifice as world champion — and he did — so now his focus shifts to Eddie Edwards at Rebellion.

Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander came out to respond. Edwards reminded Santana that he pinned him last week and said when he wins the TNA World Title at Rebellion, TNA will officially belong to The System. Santana fired back that Edwards doesn’t believe what he’s saying — otherwise they’d already be fighting. Alexander then shifted the focus to X Division Champion Leon Slater, accusing him of “ducking and dodging” a title match.

That brought out Leon Slater, who reminded Alexander that he beat him nine months ago and said he has no problem doing it again. Slater added that while Alexander now only cares about The System, he’ll be keeping the X Division Title while the rest of The System tries to grab gold after Rebellion.

Mustafa Ali and Order 4 then came out, adding more chaos to the segment. Ali, dressed to compete, promised he would defeat Trey Miguel to win the International Title at Rebellion.

Trey Miguel answered the call and said Ali is a coward who hides behind his group because he can’t get things done alone. Miguel challenged Ali to step up and said whether he fights like a man or hides like a coward, he won’t be leaving with the International Title.

Santana then challenged the heels to fight, even though the numbers were stacked against them. Ali pointed out it would be three against seven, but Moose came out to even things up, making it four against seven. Moose immediately got physical, backdropping one member of The Great Hands onto another.

Santino Marella then came out and said he had an idea, announcing that the situation would turn into either a six-man or eight-man tag match, with details to be confirmed after the commercial break.

Mike Satana, Leon Slater, Trey Miguel & Moose vs. Mustafa Ali, Agent Zero, Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander (w/ the rest of Order 4)

Moose starting the match against Mustafa Ali. Ali quickly backed off, tagging in Cedric Alexander, who was immediately flattened by a senton from Moose. Santana tagged in next, but a cheap shot from Eddie Edwards gave Edwards a short advantage that didn’t last long. Santana fired back with a big dropkick and tagged in Leon Slater.

Slater and Santana worked well together, hitting smooth double-team moves on Edwards. Slater hit a rana off the middle ropes, but Alexander caught him on the apron with an uranage. Alexander followed up with a dropkick to the back of Slater’s neck.

More tags followed, and Trey Miguel squared off with Ali in a strong exchange. Miguel hit a sliding DDT to the floor on Ali, then followed it up with a top-rope meteora in the ring for a near fall. Ali responded by striking Miguel and tagging in Agent Zero, who slammed Miguel down with a chokeslam.

Agent Zero pressed Miguel over his head and slammed him to the mat before tagging Ali back in. Ali choked Miguel against the ropes and distracted the referee, allowing Tasha Steelz to get involved. The crowd started chanting for Moose as Ali kept control of Miguel.

Edwards tagged in and dropped Miguel with a hard chop. He then pulled Moose into the ring to distract the referee, allowing the heels to go after Miguel behind the ref’s back, though they didn’t do much lasting damage.

Alexander was briefly caught in a small package for a near fall, but he answered with a knee to Miguel’s midsection. Miguel tried to tag out after avoiding a shoulder attack from Edwards in the corner, but Ali cut him off. Ali then distracted the referee again, letting the Great Hands attack Miguel on the floor.

Miguel turned the momentum around by flipping Ali inside out with a clothesline, but Agent Zero quickly tagged in and hit Miguel with a German suplex. The System kept double-teaming Miguel, and Alexander scored a near fall after hitting a Michinoku Driver. Miguel fought back, landing a Lionsault on Alexander. He kicked Edwards away, backdropped Ali when he tried to interfere, and finally made the hot tag to Santana.

Santana went right after Edwards and dropped him with a flying knee. He then took out Alexander with a dive to the floor. Santana followed up with a front splash on Edwards, but Ali broke up the pin. Miguel answered by hitting Ali with a flying DDT, and the match broke down into everyone hitting moves and trading dives.

Ali tried to dive onto Moose but got caught and powerbombed onto the ring apron instead. That left Moose and Agent Zero alone in the ring. They traded shots until Zero hit a boot, but Moose answered with a top-rope superplex. Moose looked to stay in control, but Ali came flying in with a 450 splash. Slater responded with a 450 splash of his own onto Ali.

Ali then hit Slater with a Lumbar Check, but Miguel took Ali out. Santana clotheslined Agent Zero out of the ring and dumped the Great Hands when they tried to interfere. Santana hit Alexander with a rolling stunner, but that left him open for Eddie Edwards to strike with the Boston Knee Party. For the second week in a row, Edwards pinned the TNA World Champion.

Winner: Eddie Edwards, Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander, and Agent Zero

After the match, Daria Rae confronted Santino Marella and complained about him making the impromptu match. She warned Santino that he’s on thin ice with the board. It was also announced that the winner of tonight’s Knockouts World Title main event will have to face Lei Ying Lee at Rebellion.

Backstage after Sacrifice, the babyfaces welcomed Ricky Sosa, but Eric Young immediately had an issue with the newcomer.

Matt Hardy cut a promo but couldn’t seem to decide whether he was Broken Matt or Classic Matt. It was also clear that The Righteous weren’t really interested in brotherhood with The Hardys, even after Jeff Hardy painted Vincent’s face before their match last Friday.

Vincent and Dutch came out to respond. Vincent said they still see The Hardys as family and insisted they didn’t betray them, saying love requires sacrifice. Dutch added that love isn’t gentle, and claimed The Hardys weren’t victims — they were “the offering.”

The Hardys responded by offering to fight The Righteous right then. Vincent said The Hardys have something The Righteous want, but claimed it isn’t about titles or money — it’s something else. Matt invited them into the ring again, but Vincent declined for the night. Matt then made a match for next week, and Dutch agreed — but only if it was an extreme match. Jeff Hardy accepted and made it a tag team tables match for the TNA Tag Team Titles.

Backstage, The Bunny appeared to kidnap Victoria Crawford with mysterious powers while she was walking with Tessa Blanchard.

In another backstage segment, Arianna Grace mocked Mike Santana for losing earlier in the night. She reminded him that world champions are supposed to win and sarcastically told him to take notes, adding that the people she was referencing “don’t even work here.”

Tessa Blanchard vs. Jody Threat in a Bunkhouse Match

Tessa Blanchard came out in jeans for the bunkhouse match and carried a bull rope. Jody Threat wore all black. Blanchard attacked Threat during her entrance, but Threat fought back and used a trash can as a weapon. She then threw a stunned Blanchard into the ring to start the match.

Threat grabbed weapons from around ringside, including a trash can that hit Blanchard in the head. She also tossed a kendo stick into the ring that nearly hit the commentators. However, taking too long to grab weapons gave Blanchard time to recover. Blanchard came back with a sliding dropkick and took control.

Blanchard kept attacking but missed a charge while holding a trash can. Both women struggled to move a large case at ringside. Threat finally got it into the ring, but Blanchard hit her with a running forearm. Threat fired back by powerbombing Blanchard onto the ring apron, then threw her back into the ring. Threat set Blanchard up on a chair for a meteora, but Blanchard moved and Threat smashed her knees into the chair. Blanchard then wedged a chair into the turnbuckles, trapped Threat against it, and hit a running dropkick.

Threat fought back with the cowbell, then headbutted Blanchard and left her hanging over the top turnbuckle. Threat grabbed a cable and used it to choke Blanchard. Threat hit Blanchard again with the cowbell and trapped her head inside the heavy case, but missed a knee drop onto it. Blanchard recovered, took off her belt, and started whipping Threat with it. She then grabbed the referee’s belt and tried to choke Threat.

While being choked, Threat powered Blanchard onto her shoulders and hit an F5-style slam. But Blanchard held onto the belt and kept choking Threat, sliding out of the ring to get extra leverage.

Winner: Blanchard won the match by referee’s decision.

Backstage, Ryan Nemeth demanded to know who attacked his brother Nic Nemeth at Sacrifice and started questioning BDE. Frankie Kazarian showed up and backed up BDE, but Elijah arrived and chased the heels away.

Backstage, The Bunny led Tessa Blanchard into a red room.

AJ Francis vs. Hometown Man

AJ Francis went for a chokeslam early, but the Home Town Man countered with a shot to the back of his head. The Home Town Man tried to slam Francis, but it didn’t work. Francis mocked the crowd as they cheered for the Home Town Man, then hit a running knee and tossed him over the top rope.

Francis even spat on the Drew Brees jersey the Home Town Man wore to the ring. The Home Town Man made a brief comeback and slammed Francis, but it didn’t last long. He ran right into a spear from Francis, who followed it up with a chokeslam to win the match.

Winner: AJ Francis

After the match, Francis showed footage from Sacrifice of Nic Nemeth laid out in the locker room and revealed that he was the one who attacked him. Francis said he’s tired of Nic Nemeth stealing opportunities from him and declared himself the real show stealer in TNA.

Ryan Nemeth then came out to defend his brother. Francis warned Ryan that he would leave him just like Nic — laid out — at Rebellion in Cleveland.

Lei Ying Lee showed Xia Brookside a message from her father to motivate her ahead of her TNA Knockouts Title match tonight.

Moose vs. Agent Zero was officially added to the Rebellion card.

The One Man Gang was shown sitting in the crowd during the main event.

Xia Brookside (w/ Lei Ying Lee) vs. Arianna Grace (w/ Stacks) for the TNA Knockouts Championship

Xia Brookside scored a near fall with an Oklahoma Roll, then focused on Arianna Grace’s arm with an arm ringer. Grace slipped free and swept Brookside’s leg, but Brookside fired back with several arm drags and a dropkick that sent Grace to the floor to regroup with Stacks.

Stacks distracted Brookside at ringside, allowing Grace to land a cheap shot and take control. Back in the ring, Grace hit a diving clothesline for a near fall. She followed with a backbreaker and then choked Brookside against the ropes while Stacks watched from the outside. Grace added a fisherman’s neckbreaker for another near fall.

Brookside eventually fought out of a chinlock, and both women dropped each other with clotheslines at the same time. They traded strikes in the middle of the ring, with Brookside gaining momentum after landing a series of clotheslines.

After the commercial break, Arianna Grace was in control. She hit a meteora in the corner and followed with a Russian leg sweep. Grace added a facebuster and grabbed the Cobra from Stacks, but Brookside fought back and hit a tornado DDT.

Stacks pulled Brookside out of the ring, which brought Lei Ying Lee into the fight. Grace knocked Lee into the steel steps. Brookside answered with a Thesz Press on Grace and unloaded punches. She also hit Stacks with a tornado DDT on the floor, all happening right in front of Carlos Silva.

Back in the ring, Grace went for the Cobra, but Brookside stopped her and grabbed it instead. They fought over it until Brookside shoved Grace into Stacks and rolled her up, but Grace kicked out and hit a big boot.

Grace picked up the title belt but hesitated to use it. Brookside came back with a lungblower for a near fall. Grace then sent Brookside into the turnbuckles and climbed to the top rope. Brookside caught her and tried to set up the Brooksie Bomb, but Stacks interfered again. Lei Ying Lee took Stacks out with a spear, but while the referee was distracted, Grace grabbed the title belt and smashed Brookside in the face. Grace followed with a facebuster and scored the pin.

Winner: Arianna Grace retained the Knockouts Title by pinfall

After the match, Grace and Stacks surrounded Lei Ying Lee while she checked on Brookside. Mike Santana ran out to help, hitting Stacks with a discus lariat and sending him to the floor.

Eddie Edwards then came through the crowd and cut a promo on Santana. He mocked Santana for losing control of his emotions and said Grace and Stacks had gotten into his head. Edwards reminded everyone that he has pinned Santana twice and said Santana is no longer in control.

Santana challenged Edwards to get in the ring, but Edwards refused. He said he already beat Santana once tonight and will do it again at Rebellion. Edwards warned that on that night, Santana will be remembered as the man who couldn’t hold it together. Santana fired back, saying he is the standard of TNA and promised that the only thing that won’t hold together at Rebellion will be Edwards’ face.

In a final backstage moment, The Sinister Minister welcomed Tessa Blanchard into what he called the undead realm.
