Events and Training Lead
The Events and Training Lead is responsible for building a stronger, more confident cycling community by delivering high-impact events, retailer education and ongoing support across our independent retailer network. This role champions inclusivity in cycling, elevates retailer expertise and enables stores to create meaningful local impact. Through best-in-class training and community-focused activations, you’ll help retailers deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive long-term success.
Responsibilities for this role include retailer Education and Training, Events and Community Activation , Community Building and Inclusivity , Retail Network Support, Performance Reporting and Continuous Improvement.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in events, retail training, or community engagement. Strong presenter and facilitator with a passion for educating others. Excellent project management skills with the ability to run multiple activations simultaneously. Confident communicator able to build strong relationships with independent retailers. Experience delivering inclusive activities or community-led initiatives. Experience in the cycling industry and a genuine passion for cycling and the sport. The ability to drive is essential to the role

Workshop Mechanic
Cycle Addicts is looking for a skilled, hands-on experienced Bicycle mechanic to join our busy workshop in Rochdale. We aren’t just a shop; we’re a hub for the local cycling community, and our workshop is the heart of it all. We deal with everything from high-end carbon road bikes and muddy MTBs to the latest e-bike technology.
You’ll be our go-to expert for keeping the riders of Rochdale rolling. This isn’t just about the basics—we need a seasoned pro who is comfortable with high-spec builds and complex technical diagnostics on all types of bikes.
Responsibilities of this role include full servicing & repairs: From basic safety checks to complete strip-downs and rebuilds. Technical diagnostics: Expertly handling hydraulic brake bleeds, suspension tuning, and electronic shifting (Di2/eTap) setups.. E-Bikes : Troubleshooting and updating Bosch, Shimano, and Avinox systems. Quality control: Ensuring every bike that leaves the stand meets our high standards for safety and performance. Customer interaction: Chatting with customers about their pride and joy, offering honest advice, and explaining technical repairs without the jargon.
