Heard the one about Mr and Mrs Ultra Running?
Pleased to highlight a couple of very fine 50k performances in a Scottish and British context but also a great wee family achievement story.
What a record double for the Kellys at the Werderseelauf 50km race in Bremen, Germany, in March.
*Neill Kelly (Metro Aberdeen Running Club) improved his own Scottish M60 50km best by 11 minutes to 3:38:06.
*Louise Kelly (Stonehaven Running Club) broke the British F60 50km record with 4:42:15, taking six minutes off the previous best by the legendary Eleanor Adams-Robinson from 2008.
Congratulations to Louise and Neill.
Thanks to Jason Kelly for the info . . . we are reliably informed he’s grateful for the good genes.
