This week I have been in Mallorca, Spain, training (cramming) for a tournament next week in Alassio, Italy. It’s been a nice and mellow week aside from the tennis!
My room has a nice view this week.
Aside from Monday, the day I arrived, I’ve been training 2x a day till today, so I finally had time to take a walk in the countryside, which is beautiful this time of year. From the interior, especially towards the western side of the island, the mountains are a beautiful backdrop to the orchards. I walked outside Sa Cabaneta this afternoon towards an old cement plant and up to an overlook where I could see the town and all the way to the Mediterranean.

My step count is down from the past three weeks (not so much today), but it’s been nice to have a car, and visit the various grocery stores I like (the peeled almonds are so good here), and Decathlon where I picked up a foam roller and a stretching mat. In Mallorca (and most if not all of Spain), Good Friday, Easter Monday and of course Sunday are all official holidays. I think Saturday stores are open but I’m not quite sure.
I train tomorrow morning, then get ready to leave Sunday for Nice, then two trains to Alassio.
