BetBlocker has partnered with Slovakia’s national gambling helpline, Linka pomoci pre problémy s hraním, to expand access to its free blocking software and introduce Slovak language support.

The collaboration aims to strengthen responsible gambling tools in the country, where demand for support services has been increasing. BetBlocker has already seen strong uptake among Slovak users and expects continued growth following the rollout of localised support.

Recent data highlights the scale of the challenge. Slovakia’s national self-exclusion register surpassed 20,000 users in 2025, while further research pointed to significant engagement with unlicensed operators, including among individuals attempting to bypass restrictions.

BetBlocker’s software is designed to block access to both licensed and unlicensed gambling platforms, providing users with a more comprehensive way to manage their gambling behaviour.

Duncan Garvie, Founder and Trustee of BetBlocker, said: “We are really pleased to cooperate with Linka pomoci pre problémy s hraním to expand our support to Slovakia. Working with local stakeholders is the most effective way to raise awareness and reach those who would benefit from our service.

“BetBlocker is already experiencing strong growth in Slovakia. This collaboration will help ensure that even more people, along with their families, have access to additional support options.”

Erik Kovac, psychologist at Linka pomoci pre problémy s hraním, added: “BetBlocker is one of the standard first-aid tools we recommend for people who contact our helpline and want to limit their online gambling. It is a great project, and we are grateful for this collaboration.”

The partnership reflects a broader effort to improve access to responsible gambling tools and ensure that players can find effective support as the market continues to evolve.
