The Green Bay Packers will be seeing one of Aaron Rodgers teammates twice during the 2026-27 season. The Packers are coming off three straight years of entering the playoffs as the seven seed and not making it past the first or second round. Earning a home playoff game in January is a massive advantage for a team who is used to playing in the elements.
To get there, Green Bay will have to go through one of Rodgers’ 2025-26 Steelers teammates.
Packers See Aaron Rodgers’ Defensive Teammate Join The Lions’ Squad
The 2026 free agency period has seen numerous moves by the NFC North. The latest one has deeper ties than first meets the eye. Former Steelers’ Safety Chuck Clark has signed on with the Detroit Lions:
While the specifics of the new contract with the Lions remain unknown, the addition of Clark brings a high-character player with extensive starter experience to a position the franchise has identified as a priority this offseason.
Selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round (No. 186 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech, Clark worked his way into the starting lineup in Baltimore after starting on the special teams unit.
From 2020 to eventually being traded away to the New York Jets in 2023, Clark served as a full-time starter with the Ravens.
Unfortunately, his time with the Jets was when his career hit a snag, as he missed the entire season after tearing his ACL in the offseason. And upon returning in 2024, Clark started 12 games but landed on injured reserve twice, once for an ankle injury and once for a torn pectoral muscle.

Chuck Clark was selected in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. Clark spent his collegiate career with the Virginia Tech Hokies. Here are the stats Clark brings to Detroit’s defense:
- 123 Career Games (80 starts)
- 5 career interceptions
- 1 pick six
- 37 pass deflections
- 7 forced fumbles
- 5 fumble recoveries
- 504 combined tackles
It will be interesting to see Jordan Love compete against someone who practiced against Aaron Rodgers.
