She is not the most explosive player on tour, but her consistency and court positioning make her genuinely hard to break down.
Udvardy’s route to the final has been the more dramatic one. The Hungarian dropped the first set against Emiliana Arango before finding another gear to win 6-7 6-3 7-6, reaching her first WTA Tour final in the process. It was a gutsy performance, the kind that builds confidence heading into a title match. She has been improving with each match this week, and her movement and defensive instincts on clay have been reliable throughout.
This is a first meeting between the two, which makes it harder to call. Bouzkova holds the edge in experience at this stage of tournaments and has been the cleaner, more economical player all week. She has not been drawn into lengthy, draining matches, while Udvardy had to dig very deep in three sets across three of her four matches to get here.
