Tony D’Angelo Wins NXT Championship At NXT Stand & Deliver

A brand new NXT Champion was crowned at NXT Stand & Deliver, with Tony D’Angelo taking the belt off of Joe Hendry in a stellar match.

In the main event of tonight’s premium live event, it was a Fatal Four-way match between Hendry, D’Angelo, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints. It was an all-out brawl for most of the match, but in the end, D’Angelo walked out on top. Late in the match, Page dropped Ricky off the apron and outside of the ring.

The two then began going back and forth, with Page ultimately hitting Ricky with a big power slam onto the announce table. In the ring, D’Angelo avoided a Standing Ovation from Hendry, and then hit him with a Spear and a follow-up Spinebuster to come out on top. After the match, D’Angelo posed with his new title, and celebrated.

For D’Angelo, this marks not only his first time holding the NXT Championship, but also makes him NXT’s first Grand Slam Champion. Previously, he was a one-time NXT North American Champion, and a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion.
