Australian boxing star Tim Tszyu delivered another statement performance Saturday night, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory over previously unbeaten Denis Nurja in the main event of PBC Championship Boxing on Prime Video from the Wollongong Entertainment Centre in Wollongong, Australia.

Tszyu controlled the fight from the opening bell and scored a knockdown en route to a unanimous decision victory, with all three judges scoring the bout 100-88 after ten rounds.

“He’s tough and I expected that,” Tszyu said after the fight. “He came in with the perfect record, so I knew he was no joke. I had him a couple times but he didn’t drop. Those were some good rounds. I was trying to take him out, he’s just tough. Big respect.”

Tszyu Moves Closer to Another Title Shot

Fighting for the second time under trainer Pedro Diaz, Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) continued his climb back toward world title contention in the 154-pound division.

The bout’s biggest moment came in round four. After suffering a cut under his left eye from a headbutt, Tszyu quickly responded by landing a crushing left hook that sent Nurja to the canvas.

Nurja (20-1, 9 KOs) managed to get back to his feet but struggled to deal with Tszyu’s pressure. The Albanian contender was rocked again in round six by a heavy overhand right and later had a point deducted in round seven for excessive holding.

Tszyu kept up the relentless attack throughout the championship rounds and even had Nurja wobbling in the final seconds of the fight.

After the win, Tszyu wasted no time calling out former unified champion Errol Spence Jr..

“I feel like I’m up for Errol Spence Jr.,” Tszyu said. “I think that would be one hell of a fight. That’s a banger. I don’t take a backward step. If he’s ready to meet me there, bring it on. I’m coming to catch the big fish. Let’s go fishing.”

Sam Goodman Wins IBF Title Eliminator

In the co-main event, Australian contender Sam Goodman scored a unanimous decision victory over Argentina’s Rodrigo Ruiz in a 12-round IBF super bantamweight title eliminator.

Goodman (22-1, 8 KOs) impressed the home crowd with a disciplined performance, landing power punches at a remarkable 51% rate while outlanding Ruiz 225 to 157 overall.

Ruiz (23-2, 17 KOs) found some early success with left hands, but Goodman adjusted effectively and used sharp right-hand counters and steady movement to control the later rounds. Judges scored the fight 118-110, 116-112, and 115-113 in Goodman’s favor.

Heavyweight Knockout for Nelson Asofa Solomona

Former rugby league star Nelson Asofa Solomona continued his impressive start in boxing by stopping Jarrod Wallace in the third round of their heavyweight clash.

After competitive opening rounds, Solomona (2-0, 2 KOs) landed a powerful right hand in round three that sent Wallace to the canvas. A second knockdown followed shortly after, forcing the referee to halt the contest 1:03 into the round.

Callum Peters and Paulo Aokuso Score Early Finishes

Rising middleweight prospect Callum Peters delivered another knockout performance, stopping previously unbeaten Delio Mouzinho in the second round of their high-action fight.

The two fighters traded aggressively early, but Peters (6-0, 6 KOs) proved too powerful, scoring a knockdown late in round one before finishing Mouzinho just 57 seconds into round two.

Opening the broadcast, undefeated light heavyweight Paulo Aokuso scored a first-round knockout of Thailand’s Kittipong Jian Hao Ho.

Aokuso (10-0, 5 KOs) capitalized after his opponent appeared to injure his knee early in the bout. The Australian Olympian scored two knockdowns before the fight was stopped 2:20 into the opening round.

The event was promoted by No Limit Boxing and The Rose Brothers in association with TGB Promotions.
