Rhea Ripley isn’t just thinking about championships or big wins—she’s thinking about what WWE will look like after she’s gone.
While speaking on The Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg Show, Ripley reflected on how far WWE’s women’s division has come over the years. She gave credit to the women who came before her, noting that earlier generations had to fight much harder for opportunities that today’s roster now receives more regularly.
Ripley explained that the current group of WWE women understands the responsibility that comes with those opportunities. She said today’s performers make every second count when they step into the ring, whether they’re given a short segment or a long match.
“It’s honestly really bloody cool seeing how far the women’s division has come. Like the women before me, they really struggled to get the opportunities that we get these days, but they made every moment count when they went out there.”
She continued by talking about how the division keeps growing year after year, adding that the current roster puts in the work to make sure their performances leave an impact.
“And it’s only grown so much over the past few years and it’s just continuing to grow. And I’m excited to see where it heads after I’m done as well.”
Ripley made it clear that the women currently in WWE take pride in proving themselves every time they’re given a chance to perform, no matter how much time they’re given on television.
“But I know all us women have really put in the time and the effort into everything that we get, whether it’s 30 seconds or 20 minutes. Like it doesn’t matter how long we get, we’re going to make sure that we’re talked about by the end of it.”
As the conversation shifted toward her long-term legacy, Ripley made it clear that her focus isn’t just on personal success. She wants to leave behind something stronger than what she started with.
“Like I really want to leave this company where the women’s division is better off.”
Ripley’s comments show that she’s thinking beyond her own career and looking at the bigger picture. With WWE’s women’s division playing a major role in today’s shows, her mindset reflects the ongoing push to keep building momentum for the next generation of talent.
