Joshua Van vs. Tatsuro Taira flyweight title bout moved to UFC 328

The previously scheduled UFC flyweight title fight between champion Joshua Van and challenger Tatsuro Taira has moved from the April 11 UFC 327 card in Miami and now takes place at UFC 328 on May 9 in New Jersey.

A UFC middleweight title fight between champion Khamzat Chimaev and former champion Sean Strickland will headline the UFC 328 card in Newark.

The cause for the postponement has not been released although the quick turnaround from April is positive.

Van claimed the title in December when then champion Alexandre Pantoja was injured in that clash.  The bout against Taira will serve as the new champion’s first defense.
