Carl Froch has given his thoughts on how a possible fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder would play out.
After Wilder’s most recent win over Derek Chisora, many have paired his name with Joshua, who was watching on from ringside.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ and ‘AJ’ have been linked to a fight with each other for almost a decade, and the fight looked inevitable back in 2023.
Both Joshua and Wilder shared the same card in Saudi Arabia, and should both men have secured victories, the bout would have taken place in the new year.
The Brit got the job done against Otto Wallin with a fifth round stoppage, but Wilder slipped up, outpointed by Joseph Parker over 12 rounds.
The fight now looks back on, and Carl Froch spoke on his YouTube channel, where he gave a shock prediction.
“If Deontay Wilder throws a couple of meaningful right hands and connects on AJ’s chin, then the fight’s over. AJ will be knocked out.”
@Carl_Froch reckons @BronzeBomber likely KO’s @anthonyjoshua if he lands: “If Deontay Wilder throws a couple of meaningful right hands and connects on AJ’s chin, then the fight’s over. AJ will be knocked out.”

The man from Tuscaloosa picked up a massive victory last weekend when he outpointed Chisora at the O2 Arena.
Many questioned what he had left coming into the fight, with ‘Del Boy’ a clear betting favourite.
Wilder upset the odds and scored a decisive victory, despite one of the judges scoring it in Chisora’s favour.

The American faced off with ‘AJ’ as he left the ring. He fist-bumped the two-time world champion and said, “Let’s do it.”
Joshua was last in action in December when he stopped Jake Paul in the sixth round.
Just days after the win, he was involved in a fatal accident in Nigeria, which killed two of his close friends and left him with minor injuries.
His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has claimed he wants to return to the ring and the 36-year-old is training in Spain with Oleksandr Usyk’s team.

Another man ‘AJ’ will definitely be looking at fighting is long-time rival Tyson Fury, who returns this weekend.
Fury headlines at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he faces Arslanbek Makhmudov, his first opponent since his two losses to Usyk.
