Top seed Tom Jarvis got off to a winning start aganst local youngster Gorkem Ocal at WTT Feeder Cappadocia II as the WTT circuit went back to the Turkish venue which also hosted an event in February.
Up against Ocal (WR 232) in the Round of 32, Jarvis (WR 69) was 5-2 down in the first but came back to win it 11-9 and he never trailed in the second.
Ocal had defeated Sam Walker in a decider at the February event and he clawed his way back into this match by leading throughout the third, which he took 11-5.
At 5-4 to Jarvis in the fourth, Ocal was still in the game, but the English No 1 reel off the next six points to seal his victory.
He next faces Ioannis Sgouropoulos of Greece in the last 16. Follow the event on the WTT YouTube channel.
