AEW DYNAMITE Results: April 8, 2026

Find out what happened on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite to see all the results of every match, breakdowns of promo segments, and any other highlights of the show.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite (April 8, 2026), taking place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, will air starting at 8 p.m. on TBS and HBO Max.

This post will be updated throughout the evening to reflect live coverage of all the important information, noteworthy things that transpire, winners for all the match results, recaps of promo/talking segments and more. Keep refreshing for the most up-to-date results!

Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:

On tap for tonight’s episode, Brody King was originally scheduled to team with Jungle Jack Perry and Darby Allin in a trios match, but King has been replaced by Bandido. They will face Konosuke Takeshita, Andrade El Idolo, and Mark Davis. I could see a future contender to Perry being set up a bit through losing this match, but I could also see some in-fighting within The Don Callis Family leading to one of them losing. Since it’s better to make it seem like Darby Allin doesn’t have the momentum on his side heading into Dynasty against Andrade, I’m going with The DC Family having the edge.

Willow Nightingale will defend—I’m assuming successfully—her AEW TBS Championship against Queen Aminata. I just can’t see the rationale behind putting the belt on Aminata right now. There’s no reason for Nightingale to lose, either, in my mind. This just strikes me as a match Tony Khan figured would work well and that’s it.

Chris Jericho is going to have some sort of promo segment. I would be shocked if he actually says anything of substance, to be honest. If anything at all, it’ll probably be a lot of the generic “I’m back and I’m coming for the title” type talk like most of these types of promos tend to be. I just hope he doesn’t announce a new stable of subordinates with this Cornerstone trademark.

Kenny Omega is also supposed to “speak live”—which I would still imagine to be something about how he’s going to beat MJF at Dynasty for the AEW World Championship in typical fashion. It’s pro wrestling, after all. “This Sunday, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver…” is just part of the fabric of this business.

Here are your results for AEW Dynamite – April 8, 2026:

  • Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay were fighting backstage. More Death Riders joined the fight and Ospreay was backed up by Alex Windsor, Callum Newman, Henare, and Francesco Akira.
  • Kyle Fletcher is going to have to vacate the TNT Championship due to injury. Don Callis was apparently trying to get Protokada against The Young Bucks at Dynasty, which is now off.
  • Trios Match: The Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Konosuke Takeshita & Mark Davis) defeated Darby Allin, Bandido, and Jungle Jack Perry by pinfall. After the match, The Young Bucks made the save for a post-match attack. More Don Callis Family members then joined the fight. The Rascalz then joined the fight as well.
  • AEW TBS Championship Match: Willow Nightingale (c) defeated Queen Aminata by pinfall.
  • Chris Jericho had an in-ring promo where he talked about signing his new AEW contract and how he loves the business. The Demand interrupted to say he shouldn’t be here anymore, ultimately leading to Jericho saying that he gets to pick an opponent for Dynasty, and he’s choosing Ricochet.
  • Don Callis announces The Young Bucks against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada. If Okada and Takeshita work together, Takeshita can get an International Championship shot.
  • Tommaso Ciampa defeated Mascara Dorada by pinfall.
  • The Dogs beat down Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong and put out a warning to Mistico and JetSpeed, who they’ll fight for the trios titles on Collision.
  • Thekla talked trash about Jamie Hayter.
  • Cage and Cope cut a promo in the ring about how they’ll beat FTR at Dynasty. As FTR came out, RPG Vice jumped Cope and Cage from behind, giving FTR a 5-on-2 advantage.
  • Will Ospreay and United Empire’s Callum Newman, Henare, and Francesco Akira defeated The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, and PAC) by pinfall.
  • The show ended with a promo from Kenny Omega, which MJF interrupted, only to be laid out by Omega to assert some dominance ahead of their title match this Sunday.
