Those with an Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass can now play Project Motor Racing for free.
Available right now, and until Sunday, 12th April 2026, the sim racing title can be played in full, offline and multiplayer. You do need an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium or Essential to take part.
One of the changes with the recent ‘Update 2.0’ for the platform was an upgrade of graphical fidelity for console drivers.
The game features an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic race cars, a simulation physics base, a single player campaign and ranked multiplayer.
It has also been beset by a mix of handling, graphical and stability issues since its 2025 launch, which the Straight4 Studios development team has been working through via a series of rapid-fire patches.
It was also recently free, for a limited time, on PC and released its first DLC pack, featuring Super GT race cars not yet seen in other rival releases.
