The official weigh-ins for PFL Chicago are complete, and the card is now official ahead of Saturday night’s event at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Headlining the event is a high-stakes bantamweight showdown between Milwaukee’s top-ranked contender Sergio Pettis and undefeated challenger Mitch McKee. Both fighters successfully made weight, making their highly anticipated main event clash official.
The event will air live in the United States on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT, while the preliminary card will stream on the ESPN App beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Sergio Pettis vs Mitch McKee Headlines PFL Chicago
Former champion and No. 1-ranked bantamweight Sergio Pettis (25-7) tipped the scales at 134.4 pounds, comfortably under the bantamweight limit.
His opponent, undefeated rising contender Mitch McKee (10-0), weighed in at 135.6 pounds, setting the stage for one of the most intriguing bantamweight matchups of the year.
Pettis, a veteran of multiple major promotions, brings experience and championship pedigree into the fight, while McKee looks to maintain his perfect record with the biggest win of his career.
Newman vs Silveira Locked in for Co-Main Event
The co-main event will feature a clash between ranked middleweight contenders as No. 5-ranked Jordan Newman meets No. 6-ranked Josh Silveira.
Both fighters made weight successfully, with Newman weighing 185.8 pounds and Silveira coming in at 186 pounds, officially confirming their bout.
The matchup could have major implications in the promotion’s middleweight rankings as both athletes look to move closer to title contention.
Notable Main Card Bouts
Also featured on the main card is a bantamweight clash between No. 2-ranked Raufeon Stots and No. 6-ranked Renat Khavalov, both of whom made the 136-pound limit.
In the featherweight division, No. 4-ranked Gabriel Braga successfully weighed 145 pounds ahead of his bout with Cheyden Leialoha, who came in at 146 pounds.
Weight Misses on Preliminary Card
Two fighters missed their contracted weight during the preliminary weigh-ins.
Shanna Young weighed 128.2 pounds for her 129-pound catchweight bout against Viviane Araujo, who came in at 125.8 pounds.
Meanwhile, Dash Harris weighed 159 pounds for his scheduled 159-pound catchweight bout against Biaggio Ali Walsh, who tipped the scale at 156 pounds.
