The Green Bay Packers have lost another player in the offseason, this time with wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks getting traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In return, Green Bay gets a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
Wicks signed a four-year contract worth $4.14 million with Green Bay in 2023 and inked a new one-year, $12.5 million contract with the Eagles right after the trade.
For the Eagles, they shore up their depth in the wide receiver position. The move also sparks a new wave of rumors regarding the future of wideout AJ Brown with the Eagles.
As for the Packers, their depth in the same position takes a hit. At the same time, they lost one of their better talents downfield, lowering the floor (and perhaps the ceiling) of an already questionable group.
Part of that group is Christian Watson, who just showed his love for his now-former teammate Wicks following the trade.

Watson, who could also be leaving Green Bay as he only has a year on his current contract, went to social media to post a reaction to the Wicks trade.
Reposting an Instagram post by the NFL about the trade, Wicks wrote “GO BE GREAT BRO 4L,” adding a peace sign.
Watson and Wicks played for three seasons together in Green Bay, with the former entering the NFL in 2022 and the latter in 2023.
In what turned out to be his final season with Green Bay in 2025, Wicks racked up 332 receiving yards and two touchdowns with 21 first downs on 30 receptions and 46 targets in 14 games.
