Great Britain have reached the semi-finals of the men’s Ultimate Hockey 3×3 in Innsbruck following a perfect four wins from four in Group B.
After opening-day victories over Netherlands (8-5) and Austria (10-6), GB faced the same sides again on day two as part of the round-robin group stages.
Both games were played under lights in front of a big crowd and GB started with an 8-6 victory over Netherlands.
Cameron Briere scored twice and there was a goal each for Johnny Curran, Thomas Freel, Kell Beattie, Jonathan McBean, Aren Francis and Jacob Sacratini.
In the second game of the day against Austria, GB were 2-1 down at the end of the first period but roared back to secure a vital 6-3 win thanks to hat-tricks from Johnny Curran and Cameron Briere.
GB will face Estonia in the semi-final at 17:00 (16:00 BST) tomorrow (Sunday 12th April). In the other semi-final, Hungary will face Netherlands at 16:00 (15:00 BST).
The winners will compete in the Gold Medal Game at 21:00 (20:00 BST), while the losing teams will play in the Bronze Medal Game at 19:45 (18:45 BST).
Taking place from 10th to 12th April – in front of the Olympiaworld Innsbruck – the event marks the international launch of Ultimate Hockey as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck.
