Carlos Ulberg’s UFC 327 KO win left Paddy Pimblett stunned: “His leg was f***** and he just clipped him”

Paddy Pimblett couldn’t believe Carlos Ulberg pulled off the KO win at UFC 327 despite being injured.

Ulberg and Jiri Prochazka collided in the main event of UFC 327 in Miami this past Saturday. The vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship was at stake. Early on in the fight, Ulberg planted his foot the wrong way, and he suffered a knee injury as a result.

It was clear that Ulberg wasn’t moving around normally, but he caught Prochazka with a hook that dropped him. “Black Jag” followed up with some ground punches to finish his opponent in the opening frame. The finish stunned spectators, and Pimblett was no exception.

“The Baddy” recorded his live reaction to the finish for his YouTube channel. Pimblett thought Ulberg was all but finished.

“Ah lad, I feel bad for Ulberg,” Pimblett said. “He’s gonna get finished, isn’t he?”

When Ulberg managed to turn the tables, Pimblett was in disbelief and shared a similar reaction to fight fans who witnessed the wild turn of events live.

“Oh! Oh my God, lad! I did not see that coming,” Pimblett said. “That is heavy. His leg was [expletive] and he just clipped him with that shot and put him down. Oh my God. Check left hook, unbelievable. That was unbelievable. Hats off to Carlos Ulberg, man. Lesser fighters would quit in that position where they grab the leg, and he done the opposite, lad. He [expletive] kept going.”

After the fight, Ulberg told Joe Rogan that his knee blew out. A replay showed the moment where the newly-minted UFC Light Heavyweight Champion suffered the injury. There’s no word on the severity of Ulberg’s knee issue or how long he will be sidelined for.
