Mariner HD: Ride Bold, Ride Strong
The award-winning Mariner HD, a folding bike engineered specifically for heavier riders, offers a maximum payload of 150 kg (330 lbs). At the heart of the Mariner HD lies DAHON-V Tech, a proprietary bike engineering methodology designed to enhance frame stiffness and optimise power transfer.
According to the World Health Organisation, over one billion people worldwide face weight-related challenges. While cycling remains one of the most accessible forms of exercise, suitable equipment has not always kept pace. The Mariner HD addresses this gap with a high payload exceeding typical industry standards. Built around DAHON’s classic K-frame and constructed from lightweight aviation-grade aluminium, the frame structure has undergone rigorous testing. Key components like the frame, fork, and seatpost are validated to withstand 50% higher loads than standard city bike requirements, while the handlepost is tested at 30% higher loads. Over 100,000 stress cycles ensure durability and peace of mind.
The 20-inch wheel configuration, often considered the ‘golden size’ in folding bikes, balances ride stability and compact portability, making it suitable for urban commuting, public transport integration, and space-conscious storage.

DAHON-V Tech: Engineering Rigidity and Efficiency
A key component of the DAHON-V Tech application is the patented DELTECH cable, which increases frame rigidity by 15%, allowing pedalling force to translate more efficiently into forward motion. Complemented by the Super Down Tube and a tapered mid-tube design, the bike achieves an additional 10% increase in both lateral and longitudinal stiffness.

Rider-Focused Design and Practical Features

An upgraded double-joint aluminium handlepost, featuring a square-tapered design and Internal-V Quick Lock system, improves rigidity while reducing flex. The extended handlebar width—from 58 cm (22.8 in) to 62 cm (24.4 in)—offers better control and comfort, particularly for taller riders.
Equipped with a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain and a custom 52T chainring, the bike delivers smooth shifting and strong acceleration. Disc brakes ensure reliable stopping performance in wet or high-load conditions, while integrated mounting points allow for accessories such as racks, baskets, and bottle cages—enhancing everyday practicality.
LUNDEN 20”: Redefining the Tri-Fold Bikes
Tri-fold bikes have grown in popularity for their convenience, yet they have often faced challenges in frame stiffness; thus, riding comfort is compromised. The LUNDEN series addresses these limitations by integrating DAHON-V Tech into a tri-fold structure for the first time—delivering a new standard of efficiency and stability.

Lunden 20”, a gravel version of the series, features a “D2D stem” on the handlebar for ergonomic adjustments; a patented DELTECH system for efficient power transfer; and a “Hard & Soft” Tail Sifter for navigating uneven road surfaces.
Central to the frame is a direct linkage from the headtube to the bottom bracket, coupled with reinforced seatstays, resulting in a more comfortable ride. Paired with 20” × 2.0” tyres, the bike handles urban roads and light off-road terrain with confidence. Together, these features offer a balance of comfort, control, and adaptability.
LUNDEN 20’’ Folded State
When folded, its dimensions measure 74 × 40 × 70 cm (29.13 × 15.75 × 27.56 in), and it has an approximate weight of 15 kg (33.07 lbs). The LUNDEN 20” not only provides exceptional performance but also boasts compact portability, making it an ideal choice for urban commuting and mixed-terrain adventures.
