- Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd’s takeover offer of Asetek accepted

A takeover offer for Danish hardware company Asetek has been accepted, it was revealed today (14th April 2026).
Asetek is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PC hardware, spearheading the development of sealed all-in-one liquid coolers, making it an attractive prospect for the Chinese firm CQXA Holdings Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., which specialises in consumer electronics.
First mooted back in November 2025, the protracted deal should be completed by the 23rd April (pending legal and financial formalities), with 303,298,827 shares, representing approximately 95.3 per cent of Asetek’s entire share capital, being transferred to the prospective new owner (100% of Asetek’s equity was previously valued at around $85 million).
The deal will include the firm’s sim racing division, Asetek SimSports, which recently posted $1.3 million in revenue for Q3 2025 despite challenging trading conditions and unpredictable U.S. tariffs affecting its manufacturing in China and Taiwan. In response, it has ramped up production through its Malaysian operation, with the takeover set to strengthen the firm’s position in Asia.
SimSports, known for creating enthusiast- and professional-grade sim racing equipment, launched its entry-level Initium range of products in 2025, with hopes that the takeover deal would accelerate its manufacturing of console-compatible peripherals from 2026 onward and increase economies of scale.
