In the newest Dev Vision NetEase Games, gamers got an exclusive look at the new playable character Felicia Hardy, better known as the Black Cat, new modes, events, and more. With all of this new content being presented, it’s no surprise gamers are beginning to wonder exactly when Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 starts.

Marvel Rivals Black Cat
The newest season begins on April 17th, and of course, the main attraction is Black Cat. Now, while Black Cat’s full kit wasn’t showcased, we actually do see some of her abilities showcased before her official release. She’s labeled as a Dualist who seems to have a fair bit of mobility. She comes with the ability to wall climb, double jump, and use a grappling hook to move across the map and close the distance on enemies. Her kit features a Deadpool-like ability that lets her change and enhance her abilities during fights. This comes at the price of the resources she gains during combat. These advantages can benefit both herself and her team.

Now, while we won’t be going over the full Marvel Rivals new patch notes, we will be going over a new addition to mechanics. Introducing
Chain Crowd Control, implemented to ensure combat remains fluid and fair.
- The Trigger:
If a Hero suffers 5.5 seconds of total CC duration or is hit by 6 CC effects within a 7-second window, Chain-CC Protection activates. Once activated, instantly purge all active CC effects and grants the Hero 30% Tenacity for 3 seconds. - Scaling Tenacity:
Tenacity reduces the duration of incoming CC in proportion. While active, every new CC effect applied to the Hero increases their Tenacity by 10% and extends the buff’s duration by 0.5 seconds. - Total Immunity:
If Tenacity reaches 100%, the Hero becomes completely CC Immune until the buff expires. During this window, incoming CC will not grant further Tenacity or extend the Immunity duration. - Cinematic Exceptions:
Certain animation-driven CC effects (such as Emma Frost’s Carbon Crush and Monster Hulk’s World Breaker) bypass this system. Tenacity cannot reduce their durations, nor will they be interrupted by Chain-CC Protection triggers. Any standard CC effects applied during these cinematic moves will be cleared, and Tenacity applied, only after the cinematic ability concludes. - Cooldown:
The Chain-CC Protection system has a 5-second cooldown, which begins the moment the final Tenacity effect expires.

– Separate storyline, four bosses, and a progression system with traits and loot.
2026 Galla Event –
Themed costumes for characters Emma Frost (Free Fan Voted Skin), Gambit, Moon Knight, and Phoenix. There will be a new community vote determining a future cosmetic
Path To Doomsday– Avengers themed game mode surrounding Loki and the Avengers
