A new era of German boxing is ready to take center stage.

On May 15, the spotlight shifts to SAP Arena in Mannheim, where a loaded “Night of the Heavyweights” event promises rising stars, dangerous veterans, and title implications across the board.

The venue once hosted legendary nights for Wladimir Klitschko—and now a new generation is aiming to bring heavyweight glory back to Germany.

Main event: Chukhadzhian vs. Donovan with world title stakes

In the headline bout, Karen Chukhadzhian (26-3, 14 KOs) faces Paddy Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) in a 12-round IBF welterweight world title eliminator.

It’s a high-pressure clash between experience and hunger.

“This final eliminator is my chance to prove I belong at the very top,” said Chukhadzhian. “I’ve faced the best and I’m ready to outwork and outlast Paddy Donovan to earn my shot at the world title.”

“I’m coming to Mannheim to win big and move closer to a world title,” Donovan said. “Karen is tough and experienced, but I have the power and hunger to take the victory and make my mark.”

Co-main: Odiase faces toughest test vs. Nick Webb

Germany’s rising heavyweight Emanuel Odiase (10-0, 8 KOs) steps up against battle-tested Nick Webb (19-3, 15 KOs) for the WBO European Heavyweight Title.

Webb has built a reputation for derailing undefeated prospects—making this a true proving ground.

“This is my opportunity to take the next big step in my career,” said Odiase. “I respect Nick Webb’s experience, but I’m bringing the power and energy to win the WBO European Title in front of my home fans.”

🇩🇪 All-German heavyweight war adds heat

In a fan-friendly domestic clash, Peter Kadiru (22-1, 13 KOs) takes on knockout artist Senad Gashi (34-4, 32 KOs).

Gashi’s resume includes sharing the ring with Dereck Chisora, making this a major step up for Kadiru.

Heavyweight prospects to watch

The card is stacked with rising talent:

  • Viktor Jurk (13-0, 11 KOs), a 6’9” southpaw and former sparring partner of Oleksandr Usyk, returns in an 8-round bout
  • Nellie Tiafack (3-0, 3 KOs) steps up in a 6-round contest

Cruiserweight title clash could steal the show

Unbeaten Aleksander Okafor (3-0, 2 KOs) takes a massive leap against fellow undefeated Elija Ulkuseven (8-0, 6 KOs) for the German cruiserweight title.

Despite limited pro experience, Okafor is already targeting elite competition.
