Erlanger Park – Dutch Baseball Hangout

This is the third blog post about new MiLB ballparks that will open in the 2026 Minor League season. The third one is the new home of the Chattanooga Lookouts: Erlanger Park.

After calling AT&T Field in Chattanooga their home for 25 years, the Lookouts moved into their new ballpark. Last night, the Reds’ AA farm team had their inaugural game at Erlanger Park. Their party was a bit spoiled by their opponent, as the Montgomery Biscuits beat them 2-1.

Located in the heart of the South Broad District, Erlanger Park will blend Chattanooga’s proud industrial legacy with state-of-the-art amenities to become the region’s primary meeting place. With an abundance of social experiences, family-friendly spaces, and the Tennessee Riverwalk greenway running through the venue, there will be something for everyone at Erlanger Park. The stadium was built on the site of the old United States Pipe and Foundry Company with the former Power House building serving as the entrance to the stadium and is situated nex to the Tennessee river and a highway. The Lookouts’ previous ballpark was also built next to a highway and had high netting running on the third base side to prevent foul balls to hit passing cars.

The capacity of this beautiful ballpark is 8,032, rather high for AA.

As you can see in the short movie above, there are very nice business suites, called Executive Suites. Of the sixteen luxury suites, fourteen have been rented for a long period, so only two remain to be rented on a daily basis. Another nice option in this ballpark is the big inside area behind home plate, called the Firstbank Club, from where you can watch the game with perhaps the best view in the ballpark.

When it comes to special “seating” opportunities, the Lookouts do have a first with cabanas in right-center field. the Cabanas provide a fun, social, upscale experience at Erlanger Park.  These private spaces have comfortable seating and full wait service. Cabanas will be sold on a nightly basis and come with twelve tickets.

Each suite level will be topped with a party deck and if regular business suites are not enough, at the end of the main structure along the third baseline, there will be Concourse Suites, a private space at the ballpark at an attractive price point. With room for 15-30 guests and inclusive of food and beverage as well as dedicated wait staff, Concourse Suites are the perfect combination of private space and access to the excitement and energy of the ballpark’s 360-degree concourse.

The playing field has a symmetrical shape with 325 feet down the foul lines and 400 feet to dead center. The turf is Bermuda grass, which was chosen to suit the warm-season climate of the region.

Children will have plenty of opportunities to play
