NHL Injuries: Ducks, Stars, Islanders, Senators, Lightning, Mammoth, and the Canucks

Anaheim Ducks: Forward Chris Kreider missed last night’s game with an illness.

NHL: Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pytor Kochetkov is coming back from a lower-body injury and is available for the playoffs if need be.

Mike Heika: Dallas Stars defenseman Nils Lundkvist will return to the lineup on Wednesday. Forward Sam Steel will take the morning skate, and they’ll see how he is.

Coach Glen Gulutzen: “All of our players want to play, even the guys who have played a lot of minutes. We’ll see on our health in the morning and make decisions.”

NHL: Stars forward Roope Hintz won’t be ready to return for the first two games of their first-round series. Gulutzen: “We don’t know when he could come back or if he could come back. We’ll see.”

Defenseman Miro Heiskanen has missed their past two games with a lower-body injury, and his status is not known: Gulutzen: “Miro, we’re not sure yet. Haven’t got an update today. We’ll probably know more in the next two days.”

New York Islanders: Goaltender Semyon Varlamov was loaned to Bridgeport (AHL) on an LTIR conditioning loan.

TSN 1200 Ottawa: Ottawa Senators coach Travis Green said that they are hopeful that defenseman Tyler Kleven is ready for round one. He skated yesterday.

TSN: Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk said that he’s good to go for the start of the playoffs. He was hit in the neck/head area on Saturday and left after one shift in the third. He practiced with Dylan Cozens and Ridly Greig on Tuesday.

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel and defenseman Darren Raddysh are questionable for tonight’s game.

Matt Komma: Utah Mammoth defenseman Sean Durzi left last night’s game in the second period with an upper-body injury. There was no update after the game.

NHL: Mammoth forward Barrett Hayton (upper-body) skated yesterday in a no-contact jersey. He’s listed as week-to-week. Forward Jack McBain hasn’t started skating yet and is week-to-week. Hayton has missed their past nine games, and McBain their past six.

Brendan Batchelor: Vancouver Canucks coach Adam Foote said that, unless there are a bunch of injuries, forward Evander Kane won’t play in their final games.
