IU basketball added its second transfer portal commitment of the day with Villanova guard Bryce Lindsay giving his pledge to the Hoosiers on Wednesday.
A redshirt sophomore this past season at Villanova, Lindsay is from Baltimore, Maryland and also played at James Madison (2024-25) and Texas A&M (2023-24).
He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
He is the sixth transfer portal commitment for the Hoosiers, joining Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech), Darren Harris (Duke), Markus Burton (Notre Dame), Samet Yigitoglu (SMU) and Aiden Sherrell (Alabama).
Over 72 career games, he has career averages of 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, two assists and 0.6 steals in 26.6 minutes per game.
This past season for a Villanova team that made the 2026 NCAA tournament, Lindsay started 31 of 33 games and averaged 12.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. He shot 41.5 percent from the field, 35.6 percent on 3s and 77.1 percent from the free-throw line.
Lindsay was 78-for-219 on 3-pointers at Villanova and is a career 37.7 percent 3-point shooter. He led Villanova with 25 points in an NCAA tournament first round loss against Utah State, making six of his 11 3-point attempts.
He scored in double figures 21 times, including five games with 20 or more points.
In the 2024-25 season as a redshirt freshman at James Madison, Lindsay was the Sun Belt freshman of the year and third team All-Sun Belt. He averaged 13.4 points per game to go along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. He made 87 3-pointers, which was the sixth most in program history in a single season at James Madison.
In his freshman season at Texas A&M, he appeared in only eight games due to an injury.
Lindsay played at St. Frances Academy in Maryland in high school and was the No. 180 player nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings in the 2023 class.
