Mika Zibanejad takes home 2 more Rangers team awards

Mika Zibanejad, who had already won this year’s Steve McDonald Extra Effort Award, took home two more Rangers team awards today. He was voted Team MVP by the beat writers. Zibanejad was also voted the Player’s Player winner by his teammates. Braden Schneider won this year’s Good Guy Award, voted by the media, for his outstanding cooperation with the media.

What a year it’s been for Zibanejad, taking home three Rangers team awards in this bounce back season. He went from people screaming for him to be traded to leading the team in goals (33) and points (76), and is second on the team in assists (43). The 32 year old center is now penciled in as the 1C for next season.
