It is still a mystery who gave NBA reporter Shams Charania the intel about the words uttered by now-former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers in the locker room.
Rivers’ “Google me” remark has gone viral since Charania’s report. Rivers has already addressed it, saying that his statement was simply taken out of context.
The question remains, however, about who actually leaked it out.
Bucks star sounds off on Rivers’ viral statement during a team meeting
What is certain, at least in the eyes of Milwaukee big man Myles Turner, is that he is not the locker room snitch who started it all. However, he reinforced the veracity of Charania’s story.
“Listen, man, I don’t know who Sham’s source was. I’ll come out and say it right now. I was not the snitch. I was not the mole. I don’t know who was, but a lot of stuff in that ESPN article that came out, it was very accurate,” Turner told WNBA superstar Breanna Stewart during a recent episode of the Game Recognize Game podcast.
“I think that someone had to have a tape recording at this point, because a lot of stuff that was said was actually to the T.
Myles was NOT the snitch!!

Here’s more from Turner abnout the “Google me” saga:
“I don’t think it went over as well as he might’ve thought it would and went over. Again, it was a little unoriginal too, because the guy from Indiana, the coach had just did that. It was a cringe moment for everybody at that time, because we were all looking around like, all right, guys, well, I guess let’s go beat Boston now. You know what I mean? It was tough.”
The saga of Rivers’ stint with the Bucks will be looked back on in a negative light, mostly because of the team’s lack of success under his watch, and this drama about the now infamous locker-room meeting isn’t helping his Milwaukee legacy.
