Antonio Felix da Costa is one of the stars this season in Formula E and the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Portuguese driver could have added a third racing class to that, but unfortunately there was no room in his packed schedule.
Felix da Costa received a call from Stroll
Felix da Costa told GPblog in Imola that he had been invited by Lance Stroll to take part in the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe: “He called me, asking if I wanted to race with him at Paul Ricard.
“Unfortunately, I was unavailable. Maybe in the future. With Aston Martin? He’s only allowed to drive an Aston Martin, so yes…”

Stroll enjoyed his GT racing debut
He said: “I enjoyed my debut in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and even with limited preparation I felt good in the car. The pace was very promising. I was one of the fastest during my stint and with every lap I felt more comfortable in the car and improved my lap times,” said Stroll.
“Of course, the race was basically already over by the time I started my stint due to various issues we had, but nonetheless it was great to drive, to race at night in race conditions, and to gain experience in a very competitive championship.”
He finally added: “I had a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to racing GTs again soon. We’ll see when the calendar allows it, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the Vantage GT3 soon,” Stroll concluded.
