Manchester City welcome Premier League leaders Arsenal to The Etihad on Sunday in a hugely intriguing encounter.
The Citizens currently sit second in the top flight table and are six points behind the Gunners, although Mikel Arteta’s side have played a game more than their title rivals.
Pep Guardiola’s team have been in fine form domestically of late, losing just once in their last 19 Premier League games.
City have also lifted the Carabao Cup and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in the past month, and victory against Arsenal on Sunday would be a huge boost for their hopes of winning the league title.
In the meantime, it appears that City are battling it out with some of their Premier League rivals in the race to land a talented Brazilian youngster.
According to The Times, Manchester City have joined several teams – including Chelsea – in the race to sign Palmeiras starlet Eduardo Conciecao.

The 16-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for the Brazilian giants but has been impressing for their youth sides, and his displays have attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish champions Barcelona are said to be monitoring the teenager, who is widely regarded as one of the most attacking young talents to have emerged in Brazil in recent years.
Conceicao is capable of playing in a number of attacking positions, most often either on the left flank or as an attacking midfielder.
Chelsea’s interest in him is perhaps unsurprising, considering the Blues’ policy of signing talented young players from around the world which has been adopted since BlueCo took charge of the club in 2022.
The west London outfit have signed several young players from South America, including Estevao Willian and Andrey Santos.
