GUNTHER isn’t just focused on WrestleMania 42—he’s already eyeing something much bigger, and it could involve ending Brock Lesnar’s career.
After his heated confrontation with Seth Rollins on WWE Raw and his growing alliance with Paul Heyman, a new interview has revealed what might be next for GUNTHER beyond WrestleMania.
Speaking to Complex on April 17, 2026, GUNTHER was asked directly whether he could retire Brock Lesnar—especially with Lesnar currently tied up in a major situation involving Oba Femi, as the interviewer asked, “Brock did say he’s close to the end. Can you retire him?”
GUNTHER didn’t hesitate to answer—and made it clear he believes he’s capable of doing it. He also pointed out the biggest challenge when it comes to Lesnar: tracking him down. Unlike full-time competitors, Lesnar’s rare appearances make preparation more difficult.
“Let’s see—I think he’s got his hands full right now. But yeah, I can do it. He’s not around that much and you don’t see him much, so I’ve got to do my intel.”
That’s where things got interesting. The Ring General then hinted that he might already have a way to get that information—through someone who now owes him, Paul Heyman.
“But maybe a guy who owes me that knows what Brock Lesnar’s plans are.”
The comment appears to point directly at Paul Heyman, especially after their tense backstage interaction on RAW where GUNTHER made it clear Heyman owed him more than just thanks. With GUNTHER set to face Rollins at WrestleMania 42, that alliance—or tension—could play a major role moving forward.
This shifts attention beyond WrestleMania, teasing a potential future bout with Lesnar while tying it back to the ongoing storyline involving Heyman. For now, GUNTHER has Rollins in front of him—but if he gets the information he’s looking for, the next target could be one of WWE’s most dangerous names.
