Ben Whittaker weighed slightly heavier than Braian Suarez ahead of their clash in Liverpool on Saturday.
Whittaker headlines at the M&S Bank Arena against Suarez, live on DAZN.
The pair were elevated to main event after original headliner Callum Smith was forced out of his scheduled showdown with David Morrell through injury.
Whittaker returns to the ring for the first time since his first round blowout of Benjamin Gavazi in November.
Accompanied by a mascot, ’The Surgeon’ tipped the scales at 182.14lbs at Friday’s weigh in, almost eight pounds heavier than he weighed against Gavazi.
Suarez, who was halted by Lyndon Arthur in 2023, came in slightly lighter at 182.1lbs.
The Argentine has won two of his last three contests, stopping 20 of his opponents from 21 victories.
“You see the shape I’m in,” Whittaker said after the weigh in.
“We’ve been working good man.
“I’ll turn him into a steak this weekend man.
“It’s a great opportunity and an opportunity I’ll take with both hands.”
Should the 28-year-old emerge victorious he will fight on the undercard of the super welterweight world title fight between Xander Zayas and Jaron Ennis in Brooklyn on June 27.
