Dinesh Karthik Confident of India’s Dominance Over Bangladesh Despite Historic Win Against Pakistan

Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik is not persuaded by Bangladesh’s recent success in Pakistan that his team can compete with India in the upcoming Test series.

Karthik stressed that defeating India at home is a formidable task when discussing India’s chances on Cribuzz.

My own opinion is that not at all. It seems like an enormous task to beat India in India.
When playing in Pakistan, Bangladesh has done well. Karthik responded, “But no, I don’t think India will have any trouble defeating Bangladesh.

Karthik brought up the prospect of playing young bowler Harshit Rana when talking about the selection of the Indian team.

He did point out that the squad already boasts four proven medium pacers. Is there a possibility for Harshit Rana? He bowled really well, in my opinion, and had a unique quality. They currently have four competent medium pacers in their lineup. Thus, the team is strong,” Karthik remarked.

In order to prepare for the next series against Australia, Karthik also mentioned that India can construct pace-friendly wickets for the series. This would benefit them against Bangladesh.

“I have a sense that India will play on pitches that are a little faster since they are aware that this is a smart strategy to defeat Bangladesh.

They will also be getting ready for the upcoming Australian Test series. “I believe they will field just two spinners, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, and three fast bowlers,” he said.

Karthik acknowledged KL Rahul’s growth as a wicketkeeper and his contribution to the team, but he expressed reservations about the physical demands of keeping in Test matches.

“KL Rahul has made significant progress and is a very competent goalie. Karthik added, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to refer to him as a part-time wicketkeeper any longer. “In five days, keeping in Test cricket is hard work, and he’s had his struggles with injuries,” he continued. In the long run, he needs to take care of his back. Therefore, I don’t think it’s appropriate to give him the keeping slot. However, I firmly believe he will succeed this season as a hitter and make it.”

With formidable batting and bowling units, Team India looks well-prepared for the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
