Invited to bat, the Kitts started their campaign on a good note as their skipper Andre Flecther was in no mood for a slow play. He helped his side cross the 50-run mark during the powerplay itself.

Evin Lewis (15 off 16), who was seen struggling from the other hand, lost his wicket in the seventh over. He was caught at a backward point, and no one can deny that Johnson Charles took an outstanding catch.

Kyle Mayers joined the skipper at number 3 and showed some sign to take the innings forward in a dominating way, but he failed to convert his start and went back to pavilion for 17.

Rillie Rossow and Andre Flecther then collected 70 runs in 47 deliveries for the third wicket and took St. Lucia to 142 before skipper lost his wicket at 62.

With the little contributions from the next few batters, the St. Lucia managed to add another 31 in the last three overs and posted a total of 173 for 5 after the end 20 overs.
