SVNS World Championship pools released ahead of Valladolid 7s

The stage is set for the SVNS World Championship following the official pool draw for the tournament to be held in Valladolid from May 29–31, 2026.

Hosted at the iconic Estadio Jose Zorrilla, the tournament will bring together the world’s top rugby sevens nations in a high-stakes penultimate round.

Kenya are in Pool A alongside South Africa, Australia, and Great Britain in what is arguably the “group of death.”

Pool B brings together Argentina, New Zealand, Uruguay, and Germany, with Argentina and New Zealand entering as early favorites.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Pool C rounds out the draw with Spain, Fiji, France, and USA.

The women’s draw has produced several intriguing matchups. Pool A sees traditional heavyweights New Zealand grouped with Japan, Brazil, and Argentina.

Pool B is equally competitive, featuring Australia, USA, Fiji, and South Africa in what promises to be an intense group.

Meanwhile, Pool C includes France, Canada, hosts Spain, and Great Britain, setting up a tightly contested race for qualification.
