Arman Tsarukyan, Urijah Faber react to viral off-stage tackle at RAF 8
While Arman
Tsarukyan defeated Urijah Faber
via technical fall at Real American Freestyle 8 on Saturday, it
wasn’t the result of the match that attracted attention over the
weekend.

Instead, one moment stood out: When Tsarukyan attempted a takedown
that resulted in him driving Faber all the way off stage and onto
the concrete floor on Saturday in Philadelphia. Fortunately,
neither man was hurt in what could have been a scary moment.

“I don’t control myself so much, so if something happens it not
like I thinking about something that happened from my mind,”
Tsarukyan said after the match (via MMAFighting.com). “Thank god Urijah didn’t get hurt
and we went viral again. So we need that.”

Faber, meanwhile, provided an update via social media while poking
fun at his opponent.

“He’s got all the makings of a champion…except for self control,”
Faber wrote on Instagram. Spoiled kid for life. Congrats [Arman
Tsarukyan] too much cushion for a hospital visit.”

Dirty Move?

While both Tsarukyan and Faber appeared to be in good spirits after
the tumble, RAF executive Izzy Martinez wasn’t pleased with the
incident.

“I don’t like it. I don’t like that,” Martinez said. “You might as
well punch him so he can protect himself. Pushing a guy off the
stage is pretty dirty to me and I’m not a big fan of that.I didn’t
like it on my end, even though it was viral. But I don’t have to
like everything. I’ve learned that. It’s a promotional thing and it
is what it is.”

Tsarukyan also made headlines for a recent match with
wrestler/influencer Georgia Poullas at RAF 6. After the match,
Tsarukyan threw a punch at his opponent, setting off a brawl in the
arena. The
UFC lightweight is currently awaiting his next assignment in
the Octagon after submitting Dan Hooker in
his most recent appearance this past November.
