Randy Orton Says The Rock Is Still On His RKO Hit List

Randy Orton has delivered the RKO to just about everyone imaginable during his WWE career, but he admits there’s still one massive name left on his personal list — and it’s someone fans have been talking about for years.

Speaking during a fan Q&A in Las Vegas ahead of WrestleMania 42, Orton reflected on the long history of his finishing move and the surprising list of people who have taken it over the years. He explained that the RKO has connected with far more than just WWE Superstars, including celebrities and personalities from outside the wrestling world. While talking about the reach of his signature move, Orton recalled just how many people have fallen victim to the RKO and how wide that list truly is.

“I’ve hit people… I saw a list and I think there’s like 220 or 230 different people that I’ve hit with my finish. Back in the day, you know, I was hitting 90-year-old ladies. I was hitting female talent. Linda, I RKO Meatloaf. I don’t know if any of y’all know who Meatloaf is anymore, but like watch that one — that one was funny. I knew not to let go of his head because there was no way that dude was kicking out in time and it was a travesty. That was a funny one. I bent that poor old man in half. May Young — that’s the 90-year-old woman that I’m talking about — Kiebler was there. I’ve RKO’ed everybody… influencers, talk show hosts… Mark Cuban — yeah, I RKO’ed Mark Cuban. So, I’ve RKO’ed everybody I want to RKO, man.”

After running through that list of names, Orton shifted gears and revealed that one legendary WWE figure still stands out as unfinished business. Despite decades in the ring and countless RKOs delivered, he admitted there’s still a dream moment he hasn’t crossed off.

“But I haven’t RKOed The Rock. And if for some reason — if for some reason next year all the stars were to align… Stone Cold’s on that list… but I think, yeah, Rock would be at the top of it.”

Orton’s comments instantly open the door to speculation about what the future could hold, especially with WrestleMania always serving as the place where dream moments come to life. With The Rock continuing to appear in major WWE storylines in recent years, the possibility of Orton finally hitting that long-awaited RKO remains something fans can easily picture.

At this stage of his career, Orton has already secured his legacy as one of WWE’s most decorated stars, but moments like this show there are still boxes he wants to check before calling it a career. If the stars truly do align, the reaction to an RKO on The Rock would likely be one of the loudest moments imaginable inside a WWE stadium.
