A closer look at the route and the favorites for the final Monument of the spring.
The Spring Classics give us one last hurrah on Sunday at Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the oldest Monument and one of the marquee opportunities on the calendar for the climbers to take a big one-day victory.
Surprising no one, the big favorite to take that victory this weekend will be the two-time defending champion, Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) – but he will have a few other headliners hoping to put on a show in the form of former winner Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) and rising star Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM). So much climbing star power has the potential to give us a fitting finale to the Monuments of the spring before the Grand Tour-filled stretch of the season that awaits us.
Here is everything you need to know about the men’s race at this year’s edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
