Bubba Ray Dudley is making it clear that Kevin Owens is already earning respect behind the scenes on WWE LFG Season 3, and he didn’t hold back when explaining why the current WWE Superstar brings something different to the table.
While speaking with Forbes’ Alfred Konuwa, Bubba Ray discussed Kevin Owens joining WWE LFG as a coach and what he has seen from him while working with developing talent. According to Bubba Ray, Owens’ patience and communication style have stood out as major strengths when guiding the next generation of wrestlers. Bubba Ray explained that Owens takes time to walk talent through the lessons he wants them to understand, rather than rushing through instruction.
“Kevin has a lot of patience,” said Bubba Ray. “Kevin does his best to explain as well as he can. [He explains] his vision, or the lesson he’s trying to get across for the day. I believe that the future greats have enjoyed working with Kevin. Whenever you can get a different perspective, it helps younger talent.”
Bubba Ray continued by comparing Owens to previous coaches featured on WWE LFG, including veterans who helped shape earlier seasons. While he showed respect to those names, he stressed that Owens offers something unique because he is still competing at a high level in WWE today.
He pointed out that past seasons featured legendary figures like The Undertaker, Mickie James, and Michelle McCool, but Owens provides insight based on what is working in WWE right now.
“For two seasons, they were around The Undertaker or Mickie James or Michelle McCool. Great wrestling minds, but Kevin is actually doing it right now. He’s in the midst of his career—a very successful career I might add—so he can probably lend some information or teach the future greats some things from the ‘now’ point-of-view. ‘This is what works now in WWE.’”
WWE LFG Season 3 premiered on April 26, continuing the show’s format of giving aspiring wrestlers a chance to compete for a WWE contract while learning from established names in the industry.
Bubba Ray’s comments make it clear that he believes Owens isn’t just filling a coaching role — he’s offering knowledge that reflects what it takes to succeed in WWE today, not just what worked in the past.
