Arsenal keen on Real Madrid star who face uncertain future in Spain

Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League table courtesy of a narrow 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

Eberechi Eze’s early goal was enough to earn the Gunners a crucial victory, leapfrogging Manchester City into top spot after the Citizens had moved to the summit last weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side now sit three points clear at the top, although City do boast a game-in-hand over their title rivals.

Arsenal’s next match sees them visit Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night, but in the meantime it has emerged that the north London outfit are interested in another player from the Spanish capital.

As per CaughtOffside, Arsenal are admirers of Real Madrid forward Endrick, who is currently on loan at French side Lyon.

The Brazilian joined Real from Palmeiras back in 2024 but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter during Xabi Alonso’s tenure.

He was sent on loan to Lyon in January, and has since been hugely impressive for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Across all competitions, the forward has scored seven goals and registered the same number of assists in 18 matches for Lyon.

The report claims that the Gunners are monitoring the Brazilian’s situation ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with the London side increasingly confident that the player could be available.

While a permanent deal or option-to-buy clause wasn’t considered when Endrick joined Lyon on loan in January, the report suggests that the situation may have changed as Real will likely need to sell players this summer in order to fund new signings.

Endrick’s contract with the Spanish giants is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 season, and it is suggested that the player himself is still focussed on returning to his parent club this summer.
