While many riders target specific races during the spring, Grégoire proved his versatility and endurance across the entire Ardennes week. He started his campaign with a strong 4th place finish at the Amstel Gold Race, followed that up with a 9th place at La Flèche Wallonne, and finally capped it off with a 7th place at Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Betting it all on the final sprint
While Pogacar and Seixas rode away from the rest of the field, the Groupama-FDJ rider made sure he stayed well-positioned over the decisive Côte de la Redoute and Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons without burning too many matches. His ultimate goal was to save his energy for the sprint in Ans to claim the final spot on the podium

Despite missing out on a monument podium, the Frenchman remained incredibly positive about his performance and execution.
“I was in the right moves on the Redoute and the Roche-aux-Faucons, but I was really focused on the sprint,” he noted. “I was missing just a little bit to finish third, but at least I have no regrets. I had to ride in the wind a bit, but I was able to do my sprint and I still come away with a solid top 10.”
