The Green Bay Packers watched the entire first round of the 2026 NFL Draft without doing anything. They did not have a pick in that round. Green Bay started to go down to work on the second day of the draft on Friday, and used two picks in the second and third rounds to address needs on its stop unit.
First, the Packers selected South Carolina Gamecocks defensive back Brandon Cissee with the No. 52 pick overall. For their No. 77 pick, they took Missouri Tigers defensive tackle Chris McClellan. To get McClellan at that spot, the Packers sent a fifth-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Meanwhile, McClellan seems to be happy that he’s now a Packer.
He let everyone know how thrilled he was that Green Bay selected him with a post on social media.
“Woke up as a Packer!!!! 😤🧀 #GoPackGo” McClellan posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
