Maroudis, a 21-year-old Florida product drafted in the fourth round in 2023, is in his third season in the pro rankings and started the 2026 season in High-A Vancouver with the Canadians. This is his first season in the Northwest League, and the Calvary Christian product is off to a hot start to begin the year.
The Jays prospect took the mound for the second game of the Canadians’ season, facing the Tri-City Dust Devils. Maroudis went three innings and allowed just one hit with four strikeouts while putting up zeroes in both the walk and run columns, pitching to a 66.6% strike rate. Maroudis followed that with a 2 2/3 innings performance against the Eugene Emeralds, where he met a bit more adversity but still kept the game in control, allowing one run while allowing four hits, two walks, and one hit batter while striking out three.
Facing the Dust Devils twice last week, Maroudis started the series by going 3 2/3 innings with three hits allowed compared to four strikeouts. He followed that with another clean 3 1/3 innings, where he was a bit looser with the command with one walk and one hit batter, but he kept the bats in check to the tune of one hit while striking out two.
Landen Maroudis lowers his ERA to 1.69 with 3.1 scoreless frames.

On the season, Maroudis owns a 1.69 ERA through 16 innings with just three earned runs allowed across 13 hits and five walks with 15 punchouts. He’s held opposing bats to a .213 average and a .556 OPS while boasting a 2.81 BB/9, which is impressive for a younger arm that is coming off a rough two-season stretch. Maroudis has also kept the ball from going over the outfield wall and owns a 3.22 FIP with an 8.44 K/9 through his five starts.
Looking at Maroudis on the mound now, you would be surprised to see that he posted those elevated numbers last season. He’s sitting in the mid-90s with his fastball and is generating strong whiff numbers through the first month of the 2026 season, which the organization seems to have him capped at approximately 50-60 pitches per outing. That number will surely climb as the season wears on, and it will be interesting to see how he fares across a large sample size and the likely additional trip through the opposing lineup.
