April 28, 2026 — Top 10 for the week of April 26

Hello, and welcome to our segment laying out the nation’s top 10 girls’ lacrosse teams. Now, you may notice that a number of teams in this week’s Top 10 had games on April 27th, but those games aren’t factored in.

So, just a gentle reminder that the list below only takes into account games played through last Sunday. This list includes not only the 10 intersectional matches in the Gains for Brains Showcase, but a number of interstate games which occurred late last week.

1. Lutherville Maryvale Prep (Md.) 15-0
After a 16-10 win over Severn Archbishop Spalding (Md.) last Friday, the Lions took on Baltimore Bryn Mawr (Md.) to end the regular season
2. Manchester (Md.) Valley 10-0
The Mustangs have back-to-back games against Westminster Winters Mill (Md.) and Eldersburg Liberty (Md.) before closing out the regular season against Huntingtown (Md.)
3. Darien (Conn.) 9-0
The Blue Wave beat Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.) at the Gains For Brains Showcase by a sore of 11-9, a Fairfield County derby with New Canaan (Conn.) is on tap this Thursday
4. South Huntington St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 5-1
The Friars were given a good runout by Nyack, winning 14-12; they will have a trip to Kristine Lilly Field at the weekend to take on Wilton (Conn.)
5. Philadelphia Penn Charter (Pa.) 17-2
Circle this one on the calendar: the Quakers take on Newtown Square Episcopal Academy (Pa.) in a reverse fixture of a contest from March 19 that saw EA win 7-6
6. Alexandria St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (Va.) 17-0
The Saints bested Washington Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) 9-8 last week; some tough interconference games are this week: Bethesda Stone Ridge (Md.) today and Vienna James Madison (Va.) tomorrow
7. Sayville (N.Y.) 10-0
The Golden Flash, took on a good Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.) side yesterday; Shoreham-Wading River (N.Y.) awaits on Wednesday
8. Concord-Carlisle (Mass.) 8-0
The Patriots picked up an impressive win last Saturday against Westwood (Mass.); the only game scheduled this week is at Waltham (Mass.)
9. Newtown Square Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 13-2
The Churchwomen have strung together some good results recently, including a 9-3 win over Summit (N.J.) in one of the better games on Saturday that was not part of Gains for Brains

Who’s out: Greenwich Sacred Heart (Conn.) 12-11 loss to Towson Notre Dame Prep (Md.); Olney Good Counsel (Md.) 12-6 loss to Greenwich Sacred Heart (Conn.); Tredyffrin Conestoga (Pa.) 8-7 loss to West Chester Henderson (Pa.)
